Course Structure
There are two components to our course:
1.Theory Training
The theory component is completed online via our student portal. Through well-planned course materials and interactive assessments, you will see your knowledge grow. Because the assessments are online you can learn on the go. Anywhere in the world. You will be assigned an expert assessor to help you through.
2.Practical Training
An Accredited Trainer will be assigned to you and will guide you through the Practical Course. The practical training is conducted on road and in-car in a location nearest to your local area. Practical training is available Throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Wollongong and the Central Coast. Students outside the Sydney/Illawara/Central Coast areas are required to come to these areas to train and are presented the practical component in block sessions.
The practical training is competency based. How quickly the practical component is completed depends on the amount of home practice that you perform and the existing knowledge you have.
The practical component is made up of 22 hours of one-on-one training plus 5 hours of assessment. If any of the assessments are failed then remedial sessions will be needed. The more home practice you perform the fewer hours you will need with your trainer. At the end of your practical training, you will complete a final assessment. This is performed in-car and on-road with one of our specially selected assessors in a designated location. This will test your readiness for the job and complete your training.
